Japanese Martial arts Seminar Katori Vietnam IV Shobukan Dojo With Yamada Hironobu Sensei 2014
This is the second time Yamada Hironobu sensei visited Vietnam to teach us kenjutsu. This Japanese martial arts seminar Katori Vietnam is the fourth kenjutsu seminar of its kind. Yamada sensei took the time to look at all students one by one. Sensei corrected all of us. He stressed again and again the need for proper basics in martial arts training. Yamada sensei focused mostly on beginners during this visit in Vietnam. He explained the meaning or purpose of certain movements in such a way that they could easily correct their mistakes or remember new kata.
After several days of teaching students of Shobukan dojo, sensei partook in an open day. During this day sensei explained to our guests about the history of Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto ryu. Our guests all had different martial arts backgrounds such as aikido, kendo, judo, karate and Vietnamese martial arts. By connecting to other dojos in Hochiminh City the Japanese martial arts community in Vietnam will be able to organize future events more easily.
